A man who left a Prince George's County courtroom as jurors deliberated his case didn't return and has been convicted.

A suspect who was awaiting a jury verdict on charges that he robbed the Laurel Park Liquor Store allegedly fled the Prince George’s County courtroom before a decision was reached and is now being sought by authorities.

While the jury was deliberating Tuesday, July 29, in an Upper Marlboro courtroom, defendant Michael Anderson, 40, left the courthouse, and has disappeared, according to a news release.

The Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for his arrest.
