Michelle Collett Joins South River Restoration

With more than 18 years of marketing experience, Michelle Collett has been hired by Upper Marlboro-based South River Restoration, Inc. (SRR) as the new Vice President of Marketing.

SRR specializes in disaster recovery, employing journeyman and master restorers to help restore properties damaged by floods, storms, and other disaster.

Collett is SRR’s first in-house marketing specialist. President Bryan Agee said they decided to bring her on because of the tremendous growth SRR has seen over the past decade.

“We are extremely excited to have Ms. Collett join our team,” he said in a press release.   “Her strategic vision paired with our passion to give back what disaster took will be a win-win combination!”

Prior to joining SSR, Collett worked as an account supervisor at Crosby Marketing, where she helped to develop an award-winning PSA for the United State Conference of Catholic Bishops.

She also recently served as manager of communications for an Edgewater-based South River Colony, a homeowners association, that was named “2011 Communicator of the Year” by the Washington Metropolitan Chapter Community Associations Institute.

Collett has a bachelor of arts degree in mass communications from Towson University and lives with her family in Edgewater, MD.
