PGCC Alumnus Awarded Fulbright Scholarship
A Prince George's Community College alumnus will be studying psychology in Toronto.

Shannon Chiles was recently awarded a Fulbright U.S. Student Program scholarship to study psychology.
Chiles, a Prince George’s Community College alumnus, will study at the University of Toronto in Canada.

She graduated from PGCC in 2008 with an associate of arts degree and then received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Howard University in 2011.
“Shannon Chiles exemplifies the highest standard of achievement that can be attained by students who work hard and take advantage of all the resources the college has to offer,” said Pamela M. Thomas, president of the Prince George’s Community College Alumni Association.
“Her accomplishments make her a great role model for our current students as they pursue their academic goals,” she added.
