Update: 2 Brothers Charged in Upper Marlboro Friend's Death

Upper Marlboro, MD — Two brothers have been charged by Prince George’s County Police with the murder of a man they argued with in Upper Marlboro, authorities say.

About 12:40 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to the 700 block of Castle Wood Place in Upper Marlboro for a welfare check and found a man outside suffering from trauma to the body.

The victim -- Jabari Jones, 39, of New Orchard Place in Upper Marlboro -- was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

The suspects charged in the death are Dicarlo Dickerson, 39, of the 2100 block of Briarwood Drive in Waldorf and Shawn Dickerson, 47, of the 700 block of Castlewood Place in Upper Marlboro.

Investigators say the Dickerson brothers fought with the victim, who was their friend. Dicarlo Dickerson is charged with first- and second-degree murder, police say, while Shawn Dickerson is charged with second-degree murder.
