BGE Customers to Receive $100 Rate Credit
The credit will be automatically applied to most residential bills by the end May.

All Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) residential customers will see a $100 credit on their accounts in May, thanks to the approval of the March merger between Constellation Energy and Exelon.
Residential customers receiving electric and/or gas services from BGE with active accounts as of May 1, 2012 will be eligible for the credit. If a customerâs bill is less than $100, the charge will be carried over to future bills until the credit has been exhausted. Customers who leave the service area before they receive the full credit will not be eligible for a cash refund for any unused portions.
âOur customers do not need to take any action to receive the rate credit,â said Jeannette M. Mills, vice president and chief customer officer for BGE in a statement. BGE will automatically apply the credit to accounts of eligible customers, and most refunds should be received by the end of May, she said.
Customers can find "Exelon Rate Credit" in the âSummaryâ section of their BGE bill. For more information on the rate credit, customers can visit www.bge.com.
