If you don’t already have weekend plans, mark the calendar for the Forest Heights Day celebration on Saturday.
The event will take place at Tayac Neighborhood Park, between Ottawa Street and Spokane Drive, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This year’s theme is “A Taste of Forest Heights,” featuring a variety of delicacies from local vendors.

Some highlights of the day include a parade beginning at 11 a.m. The marching band will start at Mohican and Fox Way. The procession will move over to Modoc,where the band will continue to play for a little while.
The event will also feature music by a DJ and performances by The Boys & Girls Club Cheerleaders at noon, By His Grace Dancers at 1:30 p.m. and Saint Mark’s AME Church Men’s Choir at 2:30 p.m.
