Search Resumes For Missing Father After Boat Sinks Near Bay Bridge
An Upper Marlboro man on a fishing trip with his children has been missing since Sunday morning, authorities say.

The search has resumed for Adrian Perez, 46, of Upper Marlboro, who has been missing since his boat sank Sunday near the Bay Bridge.
The man was last seen wearing a red shirt.
Authorities say four children, Perez and another adult were on a fishing trip when their boat was swamped and sank.

Five people on the 17-foot center console boat were rescued by a good samaritan on a sailboat, according to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. The location of the boat that sank is unknown.
Perez’s boat launched Sunday morning from Sandy Point State Park and sunk stern first. No one on the boat had time to put on lifejackets.

A Coast Guard Station Annapolis boat crew and a Coast Guard Auxiliary boat crew picked up four children and an adult, all Spanish speaking, from the rescue boat and provided a translator.
The Coast Guard took the five individuals to Sandy Point and placed in the care of emergency medical services. Their condition is unknown.
