Westminster Teen Killed in Crash: Sheriff
A crash on Sullivan Road Tuesday afternoon in Westminster was fatal, officials said.

WESTMINSTER, MD — A 17-year-old girl from Westminster died after a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon, according to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office. Her identity has not been released.
The teen was driving near the 1000 block of Sullivan Road when she failed to negotiate a turn in her 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt, which crossed the double-yellow line and was hit by a delivery van, officials said.
Both vehicles came to rest on a grassy shoulder off the southbound side of the road after the collision, which occurred after 2:30 p.m.

The girl was taken to Carroll Hospital Center, where official said she was pronounced deceased.
The 36-year-old Baltimore man who had been driving the 2014 green Freightliner south on Sullivan Road was uninjured, authorities reported.
