2 Westminster Schools Close Early Due to Power Outage
Carroll County Public Schools said an elementary and middle school let out early Tuesday.

WESTMINSTER, MD — Two schools in Carroll County dismissed early on Tuesday because of an issue with utilities.
William Winchester Elementary and West Middle Schools let out at 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18, due to a power outage, according to a statement from Carroll County Public Schools.
There were 14 customers experiencing outages in Carroll County after 2 p.m. on Tuesday, among them the schools. According to BGE's outage map, the issue near the schools was reported at 12:20 p.m., and a repair crew was on-site investigating. Estimated restoration time was 2:30 p.m.
