• SUN: Hanover man gives birds a new place to nest, donates 50 handmade houses to Hashawha (foxbaltimore.com) — A longtime craftsman has donated about 50 handmade birdhouses to the Hashawha Environmental Center in Carroll County, with some installed in Westminster this week. The new boxes will replace aging ones and help local birds thrive, while giving residents another small reason to explore and appreciate nearby nature spaces.
   

• Full-time athletic trainers will be on-hand for the first time in Howard County public school (cbsnews.com) — Howard County high schools will now have full-time athletic trainers, and one of the new hires previously spent three years at Westminster High School.
