Bathroom Fan Caused Westminster House Blaze, Officials Say
Fire broke out at a home on Birdview Road where four people were inside Thursday morning, Maryland fire marshal reported.

A fire in Westminster that began in a bathroom Thursday morning caused $60,000 in damage, the Office of the State Fire Marshal reported.
At 4:20 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, someone inside the home in the 2800 block of Bird View Road discovered the fire, the report said.
A smoke detector in the residence was not working, the fire marshal reported.

Four adults who were inside got out without incident, and 30 firefighters from the Gamber & Community Fire Company brought the blaze under control within 40 minutes, according to the report.
The fire marshal said the cause was determined to be the bathroom exhaust fan.
