At the time the Odd Fellows’ Hall was dedicated in 1858, it was the largest building in Carroll County. Later known as the Opera House, over the years it was the scene of meetings, lectures (including one by Frederick Douglass), plays, movies . . . and murder. Kevin Dayhoff recounts many secrets of one of Westminster’s most prominent buildings.
