This special service, traditionally held in celebration of St. Francis of Assisi, honors the remarkable bond between people and animals and gives us an opportunity to offer thanks for all the creatures with whom we share this world. Big pets, little pets, quiet pets, noisy pets, perfectly behaved pets, and pets with absolutely no intention of behaving themselves are all invited.
During the service, each animal will have an opportunity to receive an individual blessing. Don’t currently have a pet? Come anyway! Everyone is invited to enjoy the gathering and celebrate the animals that enrich our lives and our world.
Donations of pet supplies for the Baltimore County Humane Society are welcome.
