The Carroll County Arts Council and the Film Lovers in Carroll County (FLICC) are thrilled to present virtual screenings of the 2021 Oscar® Nominated Shorts this April. All the shorts will be available to rent and watch in the Arts Council’s virtual screening room now through April 25, 2021.

Get caught up on all the Oscar buzz right from home when you rent and watch all of the live action, animated, and documentary shorts that are nominated for the 2021 Academy Awards ®.  These short-film nominees from all over the world are traditionally among the year’s most creative films and are generally audience favorites. Ironically, they are also the most difficult to see since short films are not released theatrically by most studios. This year, the Arts Council’s virtual screening room makes these little-seen gems even more accessible to film buffs!

While the Carroll Arts Center has recently announced the return of films in their theatre, these annual screenings of the Oscar shorts will be presented virtually due to the large crowds the in-person screenings attract. Each film category can be rented individually or all three can be rented at a discounted rate. All rentals will last for 30 days and the films must be watched within 72 hours after starting. The Arts Council will receive 50% of the proceeds, making this virtual event an easy way to support their mission of providing arts and cultural opportunities in Carroll County.
