Title: Becoming a Census Detective

Summary: This step by step “case” study will “investigate” one family and trace them back through several generations using all of the available census records. The presentation will demonstrate how to evaluate census records for “clues” to other records by paying attention to every question asked, and will utilize the population census schedules as well as the lesser-used non-population schedules.
