Carroll County Government: Carroll County Hazardous Materials Team To Conduct Training

Westminster, MD, Wednesday, September 22, 2021 - On Sunday, September 26th, the Carroll County Hazardous Materials Team will perform training at the Northern Landfill in Westminster from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. During the training, there is a slight potential for residents in the immediate area to smell an ammonia odor due to the training scenarios being performed. The odor is not harmful to people or the environment and if an odor is detected in the air, it should dissipate quickly.

Northern Landfill operations are not affected.

Carroll County appreciates the public’s cooperation as the hazardous materials response personnel conduct this important training.
