Carroll County Schools Make Weather Decision For Friday
BREAKING: Carroll County Public Schools announced plans for Friday, Jan. 5.

CARROLL COUNTY, MD — Students in Carroll County will get to sleep in a little bit on Friday, Jan. 5; officials have announced that public schools will open two hours late.
Carroll County Public Schools had been closed on Thursday, Jan. 4, following a dusting of snow and below-freezing temperatures. While the snowfall has ended, the cold weather has not.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory that includes Carroll County. Temperatures will feel like 5 degrees below zero to 15 below zero.

During the advisory period, people should be sure to wear a hat and gloves, since frostbite can occur within 30 minutes if skin is exposed. The wind chill advisory is in effect until noon on Friday, Jan. 5.
