Carroll Lutheran Village Residents Inducted

Two residents enter the Maryland Senior Citizens Hall of Fame

Carroll Lutheran Village residents Bob Coen and Dave Hall have been inducted into the Maryland Senior Citizens Hall of Fame. They were among 43 older adults from 19 counties in Maryland to be inducted at Michael’s Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie on October 25. The Maryland Senior Citizens Hall of Fame honors Maryland residents age 65 and over who are active volunteers and have made an outstanding contribution to improve the lives of others in their community.

Coen was nominated by Carroll Lutheran Village for his ongoing work with V-LINC, which finds customized solutions to help people with disabilities live more fully and independently, and the Carroll County Commission on Aging and Disabilities, where he advocates for aging in place and has been instrumental in initiating and implementing a comprehensive survey to determine what resources Carroll County residents 60 and over need to help them age in place for as long as possible. He also served on the Harford County Commission on Disabilities prior to moving to Carroll Lutheran Village.

The Maryland Senior Citizens Hall of Fame recognizes the volunteer civic and humanitarian accomplishments of older adults in Maryland. Up to 50 new members aged 65 or older are inducted each year.
