Last night a lot of people were paying attention to the lopsided battle between the Saints and the Seahawks, and if you were watching, I bet you were not aware of all of the potential places where people could set the world on fire.
The importance of football is that it brings people together and creates a family setting that everyone can enjoy.
Tell that to the people who are falling from the stadiums, dying in cars in parking lots, and the fights that are breaking out between opposing fans.
While the NFL is raking in billions, we have countries at war, governments that still support slavery, and general issues with literally every corner of the planet.
Of course, the planet is actually round, so for those of you who want to be smart, maybe we have no problems?
One of the safest places you can be is in your house watching football on Thursdays, Sundays, Mondays for the NFL, and every other day for schools. Then again, you may leave something in the oven for too long, which will cause your fire to burn down around you. In fact, many people get so into the game, they burn a lot of food.
There are some countries that still think Zenith televisions are the way to go.
So please enjoy watching America's favorite pass time while the world burns down around you. I will be sitting next to you enjoying the game.
Or maybe I'll be outside encouraging the fires.
