Hodge Named VP of Marketing at Carroll Lutheran Village
Will oversee marketing, sales, communication and public relations.
January 6, 2016 - Karen Hodge has been named Vice President of Marketing and Communication for Carroll Lutheran Village and The Lutheran Village at MILLER’S GRANT. She has more than 30 years of experience in marketing and sales of retirement housing in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors.
Hodge joins the Villages after twelve years of working as a consultant specializing in new program development and creative marketing solutions to best position senior housing within a market. Prior to that, she served in several marketing and sales leadership roles for the Asbury Communities in Gaithersburg and Solomons.
Hodge will oversee the marketing and communication functions for Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster and The Lutheran Village at MILLER’S GRANT, an expansion community in Ellicott City owned by Carroll Lutheran Village, opening in February.

She holds a Master of Science in Housing and Resource Management and a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Virginia Tech.
Carroll Lutheran Village is an accredited, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community in Westminster with approximately 700 residents in 398 homes and apartments, 50 assisted living suites in the Diven House and 103 skilled nursing beds in the Health Care Center.

The Lutheran Village at MILLER’S Grant is the first continuing care retirement community to be built in Howard County since 1990. The community will feature 241 apartments and single-family and duplex homes and a state-of-the-art care center with 20 assisted living suites and 12 skilled nursing beds. Occupancy is expected to begin in February 2016.
About The Lutheran Village at MILLER’S GRANT
When complete, The Lutheran Village at MILLER’S GRANT will be a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community on 50 acres off Frederick Road situated next to the Charles E. Miller Library. The Lutheran Village at MILLER’S GRANT is under construction and regulated by the Maryland Department of Aging. Reservation deposits are currently being accepted. MILLER’S GRANT participates with Howard County in the Moderate Income Housing Unit Program.
