Here in extraordinary times, we must find ordinary people to rise to the occasion, rather than special or unique people to run this government. Regardless of whether you are a supporter of Obama or not, he has attempted to lead the country in a very strange time. President Obama is a unique individual in this moment of time, and I believe we should be looking for our next president to be an average Joe.
No, I do not want an average president. I want one of the "people" coming forward to run the country, with the understanding of how to work with your hands, how to turn on an iPhone, and how to get a job in the private sector, the corporate sector. I want he/she to have a distrust of both government and business, yet be willing to improve both without pouring money into either side.
This is a capitalist nation (still) and with the idea of capitalism, we need to be focused on creating a better place for people to flourish. This means creativity and ingenuity. Business should be stronger and managed by good people that aren't afraid of the government or managed by it.
Government consumes. It is MEANT to consume.
A lot of average joes know that. Let's put one of them in there.
