Jaclyn Graves Joins McDaniel College as Director of Risk Management/Environmental Health and Safety

In this new position at the college, Jaclyn Graves oversees compliance of all federal, state and local environmental and safety regulations

Jaclyn Graves has joined McDaniel College as the new director of risk management/environmental health and safety.

This new position at McDaniel oversees compliance of all federal, state and local environmental and safety regulations. It is a highly visible position, reporting to the President, and works collaboratively with all divisions and departments at the college.

Graves of Hanover, Pa., brings more than five years of experience to McDaniel. She most recently served as laboratory safety manager at Stevenson University, where she managed all campus laboratories and conducted environmental, health and safety-related training for the institution.

She formerly worked with Waste Strategies, a consulting firm, managing and conducting training programs for higher education institutions, including Georgetown University, Catholic University of America, Franklin and Marshall College, and others.

In addition, she has held positions at the George Washington University Medical Center’s Office of Safety, Bio-Security, and Emergency Management, the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management in Baltimore City and the Nuclear Energy Institute.

A graduate of the George Washington University, she earned a bachelor’s degree in applied science and technology with a minor in business administration and a master’s degree in engineering management with a focus in crisis, emergency and risk management.
