Kahlert Foundation Donates $50,000 to CCYSB for Much-Needed Electronic Health Record
Carroll County Youth Service Bureau recieves a donation of $50,000 from the Kahlert Foundation for its much-needed Electronic Health Record

Carroll County Youth Service Bureau (CCYSB) has provided outpatient mental health services in Carroll County since 1972 and offers a wide range of outpatient treatment services. While many of our programs are grant-funded, our primary source of income is through public (Medicaid) and private insurance payments. A current state mandate exists which is 2015 will require ALL Medicaid communication to be submitted through and Electronic Health Record (EHR). Agencies who do not comply with this directive will receive lower reimbursement rates and eventually be phased-out due to their lack of ability to communicate electronically.
Because the purchase and implementation of an EHR is extremely costly effort for our non-profit, Youth Service Bureau is currently soliciting assistance through our “EHR Appeal.” We are so very grateful to our friends at the Kahlert Foundation, who generously donated $50,000 to this endeavor. We hope that this donation will also raise awareness of our agency’s great need, ensuring the future well-being of our county’s children, adults and families.
