The Legacy School 5K and 1-Mile Family Fun Run/Walk To Support Children with Dyslexia

Inaugural Race Kicks Off Oktoberfest

On your mark, get ready, get set, go!

On Saturday, October 4, the first annual Legacy School 5K and 1-mile Family Fun run/walk kicks off Oktoberfest of Carroll County. This race benefits children with dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities. The event takes place at the Carroll County Agricultural Center and Shipley Arena, located at 706 Agricultural Drive, Westminster, Md 21152.

First, the 5K run/walk begins at 10: 30 a.m.. Then, the 1-mile Family Fun run/walk begins at 11: 30 a.m. After the race, Oktoberfest starts at noon. All registered participants receive free, one- day admission to Oktoberfest as well as Race Tech T-shirts.

The Legacy School (www.legacyschoolmd.org) educates and serves children with dyslexia and related language-based learning disabilities. Legacy is a non-profit, co-educational, Maryland-state approved, private school recognized as one of the top schools for children with dyslexia. Legacy School admits students who are performing below grade-level, remediates them, and helps them to return to a more traditional school environment.
