Local Artists Gear Up for 'Art in the Park' 2013

Art in the Park, a Carroll County tradition for more than 30 years, will be held, rain or shine, on Saturday, June 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of Westminster City Hall. 

More than 70 artists will be participating in this juried art show with many of them also providing live demonstrations of their work.  On display will be paintings, drawings, collage, photographs, fine prints, sculpture, jewelry, ceramic art and stained glass.  

Entertainment will be provided by a dozen roaming musicians and dancers who will perform on a variety of instruments in diverse styles and to delight the crowds. There will be free craft activities for kids to inspire artists of the future, according to a news release.  

The event is located at the intersections of Locust, Longwell and Key Streets in downtown Westminster.  Festival patrons are encouraged to park free in the parking garage adjacent to the park.
