Local author to release new book May 16 2014 and is having a book signing .....

Michelle B. Smith is a local author that has recently published three
novels in her “Broken Road’ series with a fourth one to be released May
16, 2014.

“Joshua

once told Ryan that Kevin predicted the DVD would stop Kara’s heart.
Her heart didn’t stop, but before it beat again in the morning hours,

she had decided to make those that broke it…pay for their own sins.”

“Trip of Choice,” Michelle B. Smith.

“Trip of Choices,” the eagerly awaited fourth book in the series, is
one that readers can expect surprises from. According to Smith, many
questions will be answered, and “a lot of the characters’ true motives
will be in question, and the answers will surprise the readers."Readers will be on a roller coaster of emotion from the start to the

end of the book. Smith commented that readers will learn new information

about characters and their personalities that may be a shock.

According to Smith, the series was only supposed to be one book that
turned into four, but because of the length of “Trip of Choices,” there
will be a fifth book in the series. Smith is also currently working on a
small book that focuses on one of the characters in the “Broken Road”
series, no information on the publishing of that book is available.
Smith commented that “there could be other spin offs.”
When asked how being a published author has impacted her life, Smith
responded, “Becoming an author has allowed me to meet some amazing
people and form new bonds. I’m in awe of the impact these characters
have had on individuals who can relate to some of the issues my
characters have faced. It makes me feel a great sense of pride, but an
even bigger sense of responsibility.”

Michelle started writing at the age of 13 and has not stopped since.

She used it as an escape from a violent childhood; it allowed her to

“put herself into the middle of [her stories].” Michelle never really

intended to publish her books when she was younger because of the

personal content. At one point a close family member told her that she

wasn’t special enough to get published. This comment is what initially

caused her to hold back on publishing.
Smith said she was not expecting many people to read her books, but

they have taken off. There are many people reading and enjoying them.

One Thursday every month there is a book club held to talk about

Michelle’s books along with many others. There are a substantial number

of people that turn out for that meeting. Michelle even has people from

the U.K emailing her about her book’s.

To find out what happens next in the series fans will have to wait
