McDaniel College Chosen as a Top Military Friendly School

McDaniel is the only independent liberal arts college in Maryland to make the Military Friendly® Schools list for the 10th consecutive year

McDaniel College has been chosen among the nation’s top Military Friendly® Schools for the 10th consecutive year and is the only independent liberal arts college in Maryland to make the list.

First published in 2009, the Military Friendly® Schools list recognizes higher education institutions that are doing the most for military veterans and their families.

The Green Terror Battalion Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC), one of the nation’s oldest ROTC programs founded at McDaniel College in 1919, is currently celebrating its 100th year. McDaniel also offers a guaranteed Military Legacy Scholarship, valued at up to $100,000 over four years, for all military veterans, active-duty military personnel and their children. In addition, the college participates in the Post-9/11 GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon Program, which covers up to the cost of full tuition at McDaniel.

McDaniel will appear on the 2019–2020 Military Friendly® Schools list in the May issue of “G.I. Jobs®” magazine, as well as online at MilitaryFriendly.com.

Institutions are evaluated for the list, which is compiled annually, using public data sources and responses from a propriety, data-driven Military Friendly® Schools survey completed by participating institutions. Only 766 schools were awarded this designation.
