Ronald Reagan Room Gets Refreshed in Westminister
The Board of Carroll County Commissioners will unveil new artifacts organized by members of the Celebrating America Committee on February 9.
From Carroll County Government: On February 6, 2013 the Board of Carroll County Commissioners dedicated meeting room 003 to President Ronald Wilson Reagan, 40th President of the United States of America, and on February 9, 2017 they will rededicate the room by unveiling new artifacts organized by members of the Celebrating America Committee.
In honor of President Reagan the Board of Carroll County Commissioners will rededicate the refreshed Reagan Room just 3 days after what would have been his 106th birthday. The newly displayed items have been donated by the Thomas S. Gordon Family of Westminster and include photos taken by White House photographer Barry Thumma which capture the personal and political side of President Reagan. Also on display are: the President’s Christmas Card from 1984, an invitation and an admission ticket to Reagan’s Inaugural Ball, various campaign buttons and some of the President’s beloved jelly beans.
Join the Board of County Commissioners on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Ronald Reagan Room (003), 225 N. Center Street, Westminster, Maryland.
