Wind Advisory, Gale Warning Issued for Much of Maryland
Driving may be difficult and scattered power outages are possible, the National Weather Service advises.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory — calling for scattered power outages, downed tree limbs and fallen power lines — Saturday and Sunday for much of Maryland.
The wind advisory is in effect from noon Saturday to 11:59 p.m. Sunday for Allegany, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Carroll, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery and Prince George's counties as well as Baltimore City.
A wind advisory means that 45 to 55 mph winds are possible and can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles, according to the weather service.

The winds are expected to pick up Saturday afternoon and continue through Sunday night, the advisory says. They will be 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 55 mph, according to the weather service.
A gale warning is also in effect on the Chesapeake Bay and the Potomac River from noon Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday. Under a gale warning, winds are 34 to 47 knots and recreational boaters should seek safe harbor.

On top of the wind, dry conditions with low humidity may create dangerous fire conditions Sunday, the weather service said in a hazardous weather outlook.
