Third Thursday Concert Series Continues to Bring Classical Music to Carroll County
Partnership between Carroll County String Project and Brightview Westminster Ridge continues to positively impact community.
The Third Thursday Concert Series in residence at Brightview Westminster Ridge, an Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care community at 505 High Acre Drive, continues through the spring.
In partnership with The Carroll County String Project, a nonprofit musical instruction program for youth, the concerts seek to positively impact the quality of life in Carroll County by bringing classical music to the greater community with monthly, midday concerts.
Featuring performances by local, regional and nationally known musicians, the concerts will be held through December 2015.

“The concerts have been wildly successful – standing room only,” explains Darryl Clemmer, Executive Director. “Everyone is having the most fun discovering a passion for music, a new or rekindled interest. We’re looking forward to ‘Sounds of Spring,’ the theme of these next round of concerts,” he adds.
On Thursday, April 16 at noon, GRANDD trio, featuring Lynne Griffith on French horn, Rachel Andrews on piano and David Duree on clarinet, will perform music of Schumann, Mendelssohn and Reinecke. Husband and wife duo, pianist Daniel Lau and mezzo soprano Kyle Engler will perform music by Brahms, Hahn and Handel on Thursday, May 21 at noon. And on Thursday, June 18 at noon, Anna Bross on viola and David Anderson on French horn will perform the music of Reinecke, Schubert and Reger.
