Weather Decision for Carroll County Public Schools

CARROLL COUNTY, MD — All school-sponsored activities are canceled on Saturday, Jan. 14, Carroll County Public Schools officials said in an announcement. Saturday school is canceled.

Community-sponsored activities at school facilities may be held at the discretion of the activity sponsors, officials said. If the snow emergency plan takes effect, then the activities will definitely be canceled.

A wintry mix is in the forecast, and Carroll County is under a winter weather advisory on Saturday. Less than 1 inch of snow and up to 0.1 inch ice are expected to accumulate.

Snow, freezing rain and sleet are in the forecast both Saturday and Sunday in Carroll County, according to the National Weather Service.
