Weather Update From Carroll County Public Schools

CARROLL COUNTY, MD — Public schools in Carroll County will be closed for students on Wednesday, Jan. 17, school officials announced Wednesday morning. Snow was falling in the region, which was under a winter weather advisory for slippery roads.

Previously, Carroll County Public Schools announced a delay but said a re-evaluation was going to occur later in the morning; as of 7:05 a.m., officials announced the closure of schools on Wednesday, Jan. 17.

Liberal leave is in effect for employees with Carroll County Public Schools.

McDaniel College is opening at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17.
