Weather Decision For Carroll County Schools On Tuesday Jan 30

CARROLL COUNTY, MD — Public schools in Carroll County will open late on Tuesday, Jan. 30, according to school officials. Carroll County Public Schools announced a two-hour delay Tuesday morning.

There will be a reevaluation, school officials reported. After reevaluating, officials maintained the decision to open two hours late.

Transportation officials advise drivers to allow themselves extra time on the morning commute as snow falls throughout the region. There is potential for slippery spots on area roads, and motorists should reduce their speeds.

Accumulations between a coating and a half-inch of snow are expected between 3 and 7 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.
