Westminster Under Winter Weather Advisory

A mix of freezing rain and snow is possible in Carroll County, according to National Weather Service.

Roads may be treacherous in Carroll County, according to the National Weather Service, which issued a winter weather advisory for the area from 9 p.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Tuesday.

A winter weather advisory means that snow, sleet or freezing rain may make travel conditions hazardous, the weather service reported. Carroll County Public Schools were operating on a two-hour delay.

Roads may be covered by a “glaze of ice” and up to one-half inch of snow, according to the advisory. Temperatures will be in the low 30s.
