2013 Cherry Blossom Peak Dates Moved to April
Cold temperatures in late March are delaying the peak blooms around the Washington, DC, area.

The National Park Service announced on Tuesday morning that the estimated 2013 peak dates for the DC Tidal Basin cherry blossoms will be later than originally projected.
New estimated peak dates: April 3 to 6.
The reason: Colder-than-normal temperatures during the past few weeks in March, including Monday’s snow showers.
