More than an hour after the department said the men were alive and being treated at an area hospital, police said one of the individuals had been pronounced dead.

No additional details were released on the condition of the other two persons. It's unclear if all three were initially together.

Pete Piringer, a spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, said the three men were found at "several locations" at the station.

An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
