Elm Street Development and Montgomery Housing Partnership, Inc. (MHP) broke ground September 12th on Olney Springs, a new mixed-income, for-sale community on Bowie Mill Road in Olney, Maryland. Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett joined the developers at the 32.6 acre site that was purchased from the County to mark the beginning of construction.
Also on hand for the groundbreaking were Montgomery County Council members Nancy Navarro and Nancy Floreen, and Department of Housing & Community Affairs Director Richard Nelson.
This innovative public-private partnership between the two private developers and the County will provide 57 townhomes and 57 single family detached homes in an area where price affordability is much needed.
