Bites Nearby: Red Ginger

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Wheaton Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choi

-- It's easy to drive by Red Ginger without ever considering it a dining option.  Nestled behind a shopping center at 10525 Summitt Ave in Kensington,  it doesn't scream: "Eat here". In fact, Red Ginger only does carry out/delivery, but they do it well.

When your goal is instant-gratification-through-inhaling-massive-amounts-of-greasy-fried-Chinese-food-at-dirt-cheap-prices, Red Ginger is your solution.

Suggestion: in a few months, when you realize once more, that as an Orioles or Nationals fan a 162 game baseball season isn't an American pastime, it's cruel and unusual punishment, comfort yourself in knowing you can dial: (301)-896-0732, and have a pile of General Tso's, dumplings and Pork Fried Rice arrive at your door.
