Brass and Voices Celebrate

The Rockville Brass Band (www.rockvillebrassband.org), a British style brass band of about 30 musicians, is teaming up with the Maryland Choral Society (www.marylandchoralsociety.org), with 40 voices, for a holiday concert at 7:30 pm on Saturday, Dec 7 at the Hughes United Methodist Church, located at the intersection of Plyers Mill Road and Georgia Avenue, in Wheaton, MD.

The band's selections will include A Christmas Festival Overture (Anderson), Three Kings Swing (Himes), Sleigh Ride (Anderson) and arrangements of old English carols.  The choir will perform a range of contemporary arrangements of beloved Christmas classics and
will join the band for a couple of pieces, including the 'Hallelujah'
Chorus from Handel's Messiah.
