Spring starts in January
and a global collection of plants create a tapestry of color, texture and
fragrance that is sure to please the senses and provide a welcome reminder that
winter will yield to spring. Cymbidium orchids, Chenille plant (Acalypha),
African honeybush (Melianthus major) and fireworks
flower (Clerodendrum quadrilioculare) compliment familiar
flowering plants, such as snapdragons (Antirrhinum majus), florists’
stock (Matthiola incana), regal geraniums (Pelargonium) and
primroses (Primula oboconica). The colorful flowers,
lush greenery and sweet fragrances are sure to lift the spirits of those who
tire of the wintery landscape outside. The
display runs through Monday, April 21 and is open daily from 10:00am-5:00pm. Free
admission. For
