Elderly Man Missing From Wheaton: Police

WHEATON, MD — Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Wheaton man.

Mua Van Tran, 77, left his Cone Lane residence in Wheaton at approximately 4 a.m. Friday, police said. He speaks Vietnamese and does not speak any English. Police and family are concerned for Tran’s welfare.

Police describe Tran as an Asian male who is 5'10" and weighs 130 pounds. Family members could not confirm a clothing description for Tran at the time he left the home.

He is believed to be operating a grey 2008 Toyota Camry with Maryland tags 6AX8766.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Tran or the grey Toyota Camry is urged to dial 911.
