Fairland Area Teenager Reported Missing: Police

WHEATON, MD — Detectives with the Montgomery County Police Department's Special Victims Investigations Division are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teenager from the Fairland area.

Maurice Edward Kirkland Jr., 15, was last seen by family members when he left his Fairland Road home on foot at about 11 a.m. Sunday, the police said. Maurice is described as an African American male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes.

Maurice was last seen wearing a black “Marvel” T-shirt with red letters, dark blue jeans and red Nike shoes, the police said. He is known to frequent the area of the Orchard Center shopping mall at 12000 Cherry Hill Road in the Calverton area.

Police and family are concerned for Maurice’s welfare. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
