Hate-Based Vandalism Found On Wheaton Home: Police
A Wheaton woman's home was vandalized, and she believes her race may be the motive, police said.

WHEATON, MD — A Wheaton woman thinks her race may be the cause of hate-based vandalism she found scribbled on her front door in the 2300 block of McMahon Road Thursday, police said.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department said the woman left her home in the morning and found a derogatory word had been written in black marker across her front door when she returned home, police said.
The victim believes that her race may be the motive for this vandalism, police said.

Anyone with information about this hate-based vandalism is asked to contact the 4thDistrict Investigative Section at 240-773-5530. For those who wish to remain anonymous, Crime Solvers of Montgomery County is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspect(s).
