Leaf Pick Up Begins in Wheaton Neighborhoods

As most of the leaves have made their way to the ground, starting today, the county will begin their leaf collection program. Two rounds of pickups, one in the upcoming weeks and one after Thanksgiving will allow county residents to pile leaves next to the road (loose, not in plastic bags) to be vacuumed by crews from the Division of Highway Services.

The following neighborhoods will begin pick up tomorrow. Double check this map for exact areas.

10A: Beltway to Dennis Avenue, Georgia to Tenbrook Drive

15D: North of Randolph Road East of Layhill Road to Kemp Mill Road,

15C: Between Georgia Avenue and Layhill Road, south of Hewitt Road.

11E and 11F: Residential area between Randolph Road, Connecticut Avenue, Veirs Mill Road and Georgia Avenue
