  • Rabies vaccination clinic is open today from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center in Derwood.
  • The Takoma Park Folk Festival features six stages of music and dance from around the world. Hours: 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • The InterAct Story Theatre presents The Hero of Everything at the Silver Spring Black Box Theater at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. This is interactive theater for families.
  • The Maker Faire is back at the Veterans Plaza in Silver Spring from noon to 5 p.m.
  • Montgomery County hosts the 3rd Annual Friendship Picnic at Wheaton Regional Park from 1 to 5 p.m.
  • Artist Steven Nesheim will lead a discussion of his current exhibit โ€œCeremony: Agreements We Call Artโ€ at the Strathmore Mansion at 1 p.m. Registration required.
  • Olney Theatreโ€™s production of Hay Fever focuses on the dysfunctional Bliss family with a performance tonight at 2 p.m.
  • Round Houseโ€™s production of Ironbound has a show today at 2 p.m. in Bethesda. This play is part of the Womenโ€™s Voices Theater Festival. There will be a discussion following the show.
  • Artists will lead a discussion on the โ€œWomen Chefs Artists in the Kitchenโ€ exhibit at Strathmore at 2 p.m. Reservation required.
  • The Damascus Theatre Companyโ€™s production of The Musical of Musicals is appearing at Gaithersburgโ€™s Arts Barn today at 2 p.m.
  • BlackRock Center for the Arts โ€œOn Screen/In Person Film Seriesโ€ kicks off with screening of the documentary Foreign Puzzle at 4 p.m.
  • Singer Tracy Hamlin performs at Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club at 7 p.m.
  • Cheap Trick performs at Fillmore Silver Spring at 8 p.m.
