Police Identify Man Shot to Death at Metro Station
Montgomery County Police say they have two suspect in custody. More details should be released Wednesday.

The man shot and killed near the parking garage at the Wheaton Metro station was identified Wednesday as Eric Melgar, 20, of Montgomery County.
The two suspects charged with first-degree murder in the case are Douglas Shannon Chase, 19, of Washington, D.C., and Brent D. Sanderson, 18, of no fixed address.

Police said at a press conference that officers don’t know a motive for the shooting, if the suspects and victim knew one another, or if the victim had come from the train before the shooting.
Montgomery County Police responded to a report of shots fired in or near the Metro garage just after 7 p.m. The incident happened at th Redline station’s garage at 11171 Georgia Ave.
