Montgomery County Department of Police Second District to Conduct High-Visibility Move-Over Violation Detail

WHO:  Montgomery County Police Department             Second District

WHERE:  Second District, River Road between Burdette Road and Wilson Lane (Bethesda, MD)

WHEN:    Tuesday, December 21, 2021, 12 to 3 p.m.

 

WHAT: In response to complaints from residents in the River Road area regarding aggressive driving and increased collisions, officers will be conducting high-visibility traffic enforcement.

Traditionally, 2nd District officers have conducted yearly move-over enforcement campaigns during the month of December to honor the memory of Officer Noah Leotta. The details have helped to create positive interactions with drivers; educating them on the importance of moving over for stopped emergency vehicles, and the sacrifice made by Officer Leotta.

In honor of the sixth anniversary of his passing, this detail will highlight those efforts, providing an educational and outreach effort to the community.
