Montgomery County One of 10 Best Counties in The U.S.

Real estate brokerage site Movoto called the county a desirable place to live.

Montgomery County came in at 8th place in a new set of rankings released in July.

Real estate brokerage site Movoto compiled the list ranking the best counties in the nation.

Movoto called the county a desirable place to live but one that comes with a high price tag. Median rent in the county ranked at fourth place and median household income came in eighth place.

High school graduation rates were high, with 25 percent of those students going on to get postgraduate degrees. The county ranked low in both unemployment and poverty.

Movoto looked at available data for 640 counties from the 2010 census, ranking counties in six categories including unemployment rate, median household income, median home rent, median home price, percentage of families living below the poverty line and high school graduation rate.

According to Movoto, the perks of living in the county make the high price tag worth it.
