UPDATE: Man Surrenders After Barricading Himself in Wheaton Home
A potentially suicidal man taken into police custody; area roads have reopened.
Update, 1:23 p.m.: At 12:25 p.m., Montgomery County police took a male into custody for medical evaluation after he barricaded himself inside his home for nearly four hours, according to Officer Rebecca Innocenti.
Four officers arrived at the 12300 block of Livingston Street early this morning to check on the welfare of a potentially suicidal person.
After multiple attempts to contact the man, police called in crisis negotiators. At one point two police officers approached the single-family home, but had to back away.

Police will not comment if the man had a weapon and will not release his name.
During the incident, Randolph Road and several other streets were blocked. All roads are now open.

Update, 11:51 a.m.: Two Montgomery County police officers approached the single-family home—where a suicidal resident is said to be barricaded—but then moved back. An armored car is on the scene.
Randolph Road has been closed from Georgia Avenue to Livingston Street and possibly further.
Original post, 10:56 a.m.: A Montgomery County police SWAT team is currently engaged with a barricaded resident in the 12300 block of Livingston Street this morning, after responding to a call at 8:48 a.m.
According to Officer Rebecca Innocenti, a suicidal person inside a residence in that block has barricaded themselves in. No details are available, including if there is a weapon or other people involved.
Several roads around Livingston Street have been blocked off to car and foot traffic. We'll update with more details as we have them.
