
Montgomery County Police released a summary of crimes for the week of June 13 to June 21 on Thursday. In addition to the crimes described below, the 4th District reported three thefts from vehicles in the Wheaton area.
Rape:
- A rape was reported in the 3000 block of Hewitt Avenue on June 20. The incident is domestic related and under investigation.
Robbery:

- An attempted strong-arm robbery happened in front of the Giant at 13601 Connecticut Avenue on June 15 at 10:55 p.m. The suspect attempted to remove property from the victim. Arrested: male, 21, from Silver Spring.
- A victim was assaulted and had property taken in the 2000 block of Prichard Road on June 20 at 11:30 p.m. Suspects: 6 black males, wearing basketball jerseys, shorts, and sandals, one wearing a cowboy hat.
Assault:

- An aggravated assault happened in the 12300 block of Judson Road on June 19 at 8:10 p.m.
- A 46-year-old male from Wheaton was arrested for an aggravated assault in the parking lot of 2300 block of Price Avenue on June 18 at 1:35 a.m.
Burglary:
- A burglary occurred at , 12501 Dalewood Drive on June 18 at 5:44 a.m. The suspects took property from the school. Arrested: male 14, from Wheaton; male, 15, from Wheaton; male, 16 from Ashburn, VA; male, 15, from Aspen Hill.
- A residential burglary occurred in the 3700 block of Leverton Street on June 15 between 7:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. Forced entry but nothing was taken.
- Between June 12 and June 21 a residential burglary occurred in the 2000 block of Franwall Avenue. Property was taken by forced entry.
- Two residential burglaries occurred in an apartment building in the 2700 block of University Boulevard.
- On June 20 between 8:45 p.m. and 9:05 p.m. Nothing was taken, although forced entry was attempted.
- On June 21 between midnight and 2:10 a.m. Forced entry but nothing taken.
